Nice to meet you
I work with clients who are open to being challenged as they work toward their goals. My path to therapy began after years in outdoor leadership, mountain guiding, and experiential education, where I learned how principles of adventure can support growth in everyday life. In therapy, I combine adventure-based approaches with traditional modalities such as ACT, CBT, and MI. I believe good therapy should feel safe while also being effortful and inspiring.

Interests
I identify as a rock and ice climber. I spent 20 years as a professional rock and ice climbing guide; my wife was a professional climber; my kids are on their way to becoming professional climbers; and all my friends are climbers. In the summer, when it’s too hot to climb, I spend my time exploring the Maine coast by sailboat or bicycle.
I also have a strong passion for animals. I spent 10 years working with the ASPCA’s response team, traveling across the country to rescue animals after natural disasters. At home, we host our own little farm with three dogs, two cats, two rabbits, six chickens, and about 60,000 bees.
