Who are therapists on Octave, and how are they vetted

Octave exclusively hires providers who are highly experienced and fully licensed. Each candidate undergoes a comprehensive interview process, which includes a detailed assessment by our Clinical Leadership team. As part of this evaluation, providers are required to review a clinical case study and demonstrate their ability to effectively assess clients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver culturally competent care. Additionally, all providers must pass a stringent background check and receive approval from our credentialing committee. To ensure continued excellence, providers are regularly monitored to confirm their good standing with their respective licensing boards and the National Provider Database.

How much does therapy with Octave cost?

For an estimate, enter your information into our Cost Estimator. During sign-up, we'll provide a more accurate estimate based on your information. For in-network clients, we will contact your insurance company on your behalf to learn more about your coverage and benefits. Before your first session, we provide you with your Cost of Care, containing a price range you can expect to pay after your first session with your therapist.

Is Octave a membership? What if I want to cancel?

No, Octave is not a subscription/membership service. Clients are charged on a per appointment basis.

How long does it take to get matched with a therapist?

Accepted Answer

After signing up, you may have the option to self-select a provider from a recommended list and be matched and scheduled after your confirmation is received.If you opt to receive matching assistance from our Care Navigation Team, you can expect to receive an email from your Care Navigator containing a match offer within 3 business days.Some new Octave clients may be requested to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with a Care Navigator in order for us to learn more about needs and preferences. Following this consultation, clients can expect to be matched within 1 business day.

Question 5

What do I need to know about FSA and HSA?

At this time, Octave does not participate in any government payor programs, including Medicare and Medicaid. We also are not able to sign any single case agreements, which means we can't provide services to anyone who is covered by these plans, even if they want to pay out of pocket. This includes Medi-Cal plans in California and Medicaid plans in New York, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, Texas and Washington D.C.
